Need help with a reference question?
Come to the library - Librarians are on duty all the hours we are open.  For lengthy or in-depth research, please visit us at the library.  Discuss your questions with a librarian.  A dialogue helps us provide the best information.

Telephone - For short reference questions (ones we can answer with no more than five minutes research), you are welcome to  telephone (796-3400, ex. 5).  We'll answer immediately if staffing permits, or call you back with the answer as soon as possible.

If the library is closed, you may call the New Jersey Nightline service for answers to short factual questions.
1-800-922-2233, Monday to Thursday 9 p.m. to 12 midnight; Friday to Sunday 5 p.m. to 12 midnight.

E-Mail - We are initiating an e-mail reference service, again for questions we can answer with about five minutes research.  Click below, and we'll make every effort to respond within two business days.

E-Mail Reference Question Guidelines:
Send us an e-mail with your question by clicking on the link below.  Be specific and provide as much relevant information as possible as an e-mail question does not give our reference librarians the opportunity to discuss the question with you.  Tell us if you have already checked other libraries or specific sources, how soon you need the information, and your age-level (student, adult, etc).
Please include your name, library barcode number,  telephone number, and e-mail address so we can contact you.
